Rebecca C. Morgan, Boston Asset Management Faculty Chair in Elder Law, has graciously offered a guided tour highlighting the numerous design elements that make this courtroom accessible and user-friendly to older persons and persons with disability.
The accessible courtroom was dedicated two years ago on the fifteenth (15th) anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and was designed as a model courtroom to provide maximum access to the court for older persons and people with disability in response to nationwide concerns about lack of access to full participation in society and to legal proceedings in particular.
About 15-20 minutes from the Hilton, it may be reached by use of participants' personal cars. The tour will begin at 4 pm and the duration will be approximately 30 minutes depending on questions from our group.
There is no charge for this tour. We request registration to help limit the size of the touring group and to help organize ride sharing.
